Wipro VLSI Interview Questions
Wipro VLSI works in core chip designing field and its a good area for electronics people to start the career. Latest Interview questions in this page are from my own personal interview held at 2nd Jan 2010, IIIT Allahabad. They selected 15 students from electronics and communication background. Selection procedure consisted of three rounds viz. Written (maily quantitative and verbal, and few technical questions), Technical Interview (Thats the main point of selection) and finally the HR Interview (mainly a formality if your communication skills are ok enough).
Technical Interview Questions
It was around 35-40 mins interview

1) Draw a digital circuit which can count only upto 13.
2) What is RC Filter ? Also Draw it.
3) What is Time constant in a RC Circuit?
4) Which has fastest switching time - BJT, CMOS, ECL ?
5) Why ECL has fastest switching time ?
6) What are the differences between MOSFET and BJT ?
7) What are the regions of operations of BJT ?
8) In which region BJT Normally works ?
9) In case, BJT is used as amplifier, it should be used in which region ?
10) What is a Zener diode ?
11) Draw I-V characteristics of Zener diode.
12) Draw a circuit to show the application of Zener diode. Explain it also.
13) What is a Schotky diode? Tell one application also.
14) What does negative resistance actually mean?
15) In Microwave applications, where actually negative resistance is used ?

HR Interview Questions
It was just a formal interview for about 10 mins.
1) Tell me about yourself which is not in resume.
2) From where do u belong ?
3) Tell me something about your family members.
4) What are your strengths ? [ Explain properly, with examples ]
5) Some questions of extra curriculars from resume.
